update – 9:00pm.

the revised gestational age given to us by dr. ultrasound tells us baby is 32 weeks today.
we celebrated with non-hospital food.
family has gone back to the mn.
liz has learned to be independent.
everything she needs is within her reach.
especially her mobile phone.
(i heard from her three times before noon).

update – 11:30pm.

lots of good news today.
dr. nelson removed a few more tubes from liz today.
i went to work.
we had a late evening visit from dr. ultrasound.
baby is apparently five days older than we thought (based on her size).
grandpa tom g. claims she’s already lying about her age.
which makes me worry about her teen years.
32 weeks doesn’t [...]

update – 9:30am.

dr. nelson just visited.
she said baby is doing great.
so is liz.
dr. devore will be here tomorrow night to take some photos.
if baby is still a little small she may come out to play.
if not, she’ll stay inside.
liz will stay in the hospital.
on her left side.
sometimes on her right side.
things are returning to normal (well, as [...]

update – 6:30pm.

liz and baby are still doing great.
doctor k. rogers says so.
so does the heart monitor.
i get the feeling that we may be here for a long time.
which is (of course) great news.
the hospital has room service with a gigantic menu.
liz just had a caesar salad.
she’s pretty happy.
