I read your story in the Star Tribune last Sunday and here it is a week later and I can't stop thinking about you and your beautiful daughter. I just read through all your journal entires and wow I am amazed at your honesty and determination. We just went to mass tonight and I keep thinking that this is what Christ meant by live in me as I will live in you. He is with you and Maddy and Liz!!! I know that this road is not what you ever imagined but after reading through your journal I know that you are going to be a great dad to her. Truly an inspiration for all other dads who parent their children either on their own or with the help of a mother. You and Madeline are in my thoughts and prayers.

Matt,
After reading all of this, I was in tears because it touches so close to home. You just lived through my Dear Husbands worst fear in life. We just recently had our daugher born on March 5, 2008 and I cannot imagine going through all of this on my own. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful daughter.
