Matt, you do not know me but i heard of your loss from your mother Sandra. I work at the doctors office where your mothers goes. She is the sweatest lady! I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a loved one is the most difficult thing that one has to go through in life. Liz will be missed in our daily lives but she will always be in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Your daughter is beautiful and very lucky to have you as a father and loving family and friends in her life. Well, I too am inspired by your strength and love, quite amused with your narration, and feel somewhat like a voyer looking at your blog (though a little less ’cause we have met).

While I don’t do k. care at work, I’ve had more than a handful of babies reach for a dry tap, so to speak, while being held/fed. I don’t have any kids of my own, but can imagine it’s a little less uncomfortable for that to happen to a woman.

Along with the tears that are shed with respect to your loss, you create as many smiles. Thanks.

I am with Sara. I saw your Cribsheet post and have viewed your site since. I think we are all inspired by your strength and love, and like Sara, I have really enjoyed your writing style. I have two kids and wonder if I’ll ever sleep through the night again, too. You are in good company there.

Congrats on making it through the first night! I still don’t sleep through the night and my “baby” is 15 months. I’ve heard that once you’ve had a child you never sleep through the night again. I really, really hope that that isn’t true, but perhaps that’s why cosmetics is a multi-billion dollar industry?

I honestly feel like I’m spying on someone I don’t know by reading your blog. If you too feel this way, please shoot me an email and I am more than happy to introduce myself. I linked to your blog from Cribsheets … so I am from Minnesota. Hopefully, that doesn’t make me feel like such a stranger.

LOL! My son used to roll in on my husband too…which resulted in a quick hand-off. My son is almost 16 months, and I can hear him breathing two rooms away… my grandma says I’ll never sleep like I used to. Congratulations on making it through your first night alone!
