happy 9-week birthday, madeline.
woke up early
to say goodbye to
grandma broccoli and grandpa rodney.
before leaving, they gave
madeline her 9/52 week birthday gift
they left and we
went back to sleep.
madeline is perfect.
she knows i’m tired
so she allowed me
to stay in
bed until 11:30
(sleeping is so sweet).
9 weeks ago today,
she entered the world,
screaming quietly.
9 weeks later,
she screams a lot [...]
supposed to be in hawaii
with
liz
this weekend
(fucking reminder popped up on my blackberry the other day to make me feel like shit).
instead.
i sit here
thinking about nothing
but the fact that
she
died 2 months ago today.
(i fucking hate the 25th now).
how can i not
think about it?
there are too many reminders.
everyday
i have to look out
the picture window
in the front [...]
woke up early and had a
great morning with madeline.
her 2-month birthday.
a big day started
with some
tummy time
combined with kangaroo care
we accomplished a lot.
madeline’s very alert
in the morning, and i
didn’t want to hog
all that cuteness, so
i brought her out to the
living room to share her
with awesome auntie deb.
soon after,
grandma broccoli and grandpa rodney
arrived to [...]
a/c guys are still
working on the house.
should be done on tuesday
(thanks, memorial day).
at least it has
cooled down here in
the los angeles.
i decided that we’d
skip the coffee shop in
atwater village and go
to another hipster hangout
near my neighborhood.
this one though,
has a place for kids to play.
hipster parents and hipster kids!
