I don't imagine that you even read posts from this far back in your life, but I am still posting. My cousin told me about you and your amazing journey. So I started reading...and crying. Having seen some loss in my short 33 years, I think that you are amazing to have put it here for everyone to see. I hope that your sweet little girl knows what an amazing daddy she has and I wish you both the best of luck, life, and love.

Welcome back, Matt!

Yes, welcome to California, where we have high Meth-making equipment seizures, but relatively low arrests! Please enjoy this informative chart which I have found on the Interwebs for your perusal.

Congratulations on being the #1 Google result for crack/baby formula searches! Nice job, Research Maven Becky P.!

If you Google "making crack out of baby formula" the first site listed is this blog....

However, further research found this excerpt: "Infant formula is often used in the drug world. Drug dealers use powdered baby formula to cut the strength of cocaine and heroin. According to a recent article in Chicago's Journal Standard, "the popular powdered baby formula is primarily used in the drug world to dilute heroin and methamphetamine or to stretch the product when supplies run low." Special Agent Joanna Zoltay states that, "The consistency and the way it looks is what makes it a good cutting agent," Zoltay said. Infant formula is non-toxic and relatively safe to cut with any number of drugs."

And with that fascinating tidbit, I hope you and Maddy had a safe trip home with limited amounts of screaming, fussing, and pant-crapping. For both of you.

The MN is already ready for your next visit!

Hi Matt,

Geez you make Minnesota look good! You are an awesome photographer and I’m wondering if you know about or have considered selling on iStock. The fees are teensy, but really can add up. I have friends who are making serious money—enough to scale waaaaay back on their day jobs. If you haven’t, check it out at http://www.istockphotography.com.

Hey, wanted to say that I have been there...where you are now... 10 years ago, I also left the hospital with a newborn and what was left of my sanity. Anyway , we made it. Amanda and I. And we also have a some new family members now and one more little girl...That happened when she was 3. So I can relate to you so very well. If you ever have any questions (except the crack thing cause Ive never heard of this either) just let me know.
