of significant sleep for
my favorite daughter.
10+ hours =
8+ more than me.
the secret is, i don’t need
it as much as she does.
she’s growing,
and now that i know
she’s 11 pounds
i swear i can feel that growth.
suddenly i think
i can feel it
in my arms,
in my shoulders,
in my back.

it’s been 4 months.
what to do?
well, we decided to go
to the beach.
why not?
it’s a beautiful
day and we should
take full advantage
of it.
plus madeline has
a few new sun bonnets
she needs to model.
spent the morning
writing and listening
to an album that makes
things a lot better
while madeline slept
off the excitement
of disneyland.
caught up with my
friend and her kids,

slept for 2.5 hours.

took my time
getting us ready thinking
her appointment was at 10:30.
9:30, the reminder pops
up on my bb and it
says 10:00.
oh shit.
time to run.
unlike many docs,
madeline’s awesome doc h.
is always on time.
no way i would think
of showing up late.
took a 1 min. shower
and ran out the
door with my 4-month old

visit to her dr.
