haha! what a great outfit and I love the look on her face.
The link to Gina’s site is not working. I am getting a message that the Blogger’s site is not recognized.
Agh – the link doesn’t work! I’m dying to see the photos by Gina!
i want to see gina’s work!
i’m an html idiot.
try it now…
sorry.
Love seeing new photos of Madeline – that outfid is great! Just read your post on rachel sarah’s site. I’m just a blog reader, but I think of you and Madeline (and Liz) often and wonder how you are doing. Didn’t realize this was an anniversary week. Tough stuff. Thinking of you always….
Julie
That toque is adorable – as is Madeline. Is it really that cold in The Banff right now? It’s warm in Calgary.
Can’t wait to see more Gina photos but that link isn’t working.
wow Gina’s pictures are AMAZING, and Madeline looks liek a little doll. Crazy how much she has changed already.
Her expression above totally matches her outfit, what can you say the girl can pull anything off.
Gina’s pictures are fantastic. And in the one you posted, Madeline seems to be saying, “what the fuck am I wearing?” Although I think the outfit’s pretty rad.
The entry you wrote for Rachel’s blog is so beautiful. I can’t imagine how hard yesterday would have been–hoping you had some good friends/laughs/distractions.
Gina’s photos are awesome. Madeline just gets prettier and prettier.
Okay, it’s working now – and holy crap those are awesome photos. I didn’t know eyes could be that blue.
Oh, Matt. What is there to say? Reading that your anniversary was yesterday just made my heart break. Thinking of you.
“i’m an html idiot.” No, you’re just an idiot.
I thought I had seen a mention of your anniversary being Aug. 13. Just wanted you to know that I appreciated my own on the 12th a little more than I would have because of your story. Thanks for that.
@ben
you will now be known as:
gentle benasshole ben.(i guess i do know some html).
(disclaimer…ben is a friend of mine. we like to give each other a hard time).
Madeline looks so much like Liz – beautiful. Gina’s photos are AWESOME.
~Julie
Those photos are darling. I can’t wait to see the rest. Her eyes just pop out at ya!
Cheers
Go Pork
Fuck the Asshats!!
Maddie’s blue eyes are piercing. Good Luck with that when she’s a teenager. (you’re screwed).
She’s such a beauty.
Matt, There are so many thoughts that just went through my head reading what you wrote on Rachel’s blog and looking at the pictures of Liz but its hard to put them into writing. The picture of Liz on your wedding day just gave me chills. She was so beautiful. And Liz really did “glow” when she was pregnant. I always thought people were full of shit when they told me I was glowing while I was pregnant, but she really did. And then the picture of the one time Liz saw Madeline brought me to tears. I’ve followed your blog for a long time, but I guess it was a reminder of what you have endured in the last 4+ months and how far you have come. I didn’t comment the other day about you driving Liz’s car, but I am so proud of you for facing that challenge head on. And it brought me to tears again when you wrote about Madeline grabbing your finger just when you needed her to. I am sure yesterday was a really hard day, but I am also sure Madeline made it a little bit easier. BTW, Gina’s pictures of you and Madeline are gorgeous! She has great subjects of course, but what a talented photographer! I hope you are enjoying your time in the Banff. Take care….
Are you sure gentle Ben IS YOUR FRIEND? bwahah!
Just kidding!…
I laughed like crazy when I read his comments!!!
Mr. Genlte BEN, You are ONE of my favourites.
Sol
Love her hat! Do you think they make it in my size?
Great post on Single Mom Seeking…’s blog, as always.
Matt,
I’m a first time commenter, but a DAILY reader and so are 3 other people in my office. It was a chain reaction. Anyway I Love, Love, Love your blog. My heart aches everytime you say something about Liz and it burst with joy everytime I see Madeline. Gina’s pictures are AMAZING! Just know we always thinking about you both.
That bib looks like it’s from PsychoBaby…one of my favorite places to shop for the little ones of friends.
I hope Madeline made yesterday okay for you….
tupac and all… I would have never made you change your shoes…. Ha!

More photos on the way… I have so much more… I will send them your way…
~g
Pictures of Madeline and you are fantastic! Stay strong…you’re doing a great job!
Absolutely love Madeline’s hat! Too cute, not sure about the skull and crossbones on her bib(?), but she is so cute you could dress her in rags and get ahhs! Love Gina’s photos and your blog on Rachel’s site. Enjoy the cool weather…it’s cooler in Texas now, ONLY about 90…we’re getting a Canadian front tonight and it will be down in the 80′s! Wahoo…great for August. Kudos to you for joining those of us who braved August weather for a wedding…ours was outside in Oklahoma with no backup. Back in the hippie dippie days. Worked though. Blessings from Texas.
lovely post on her website matt. love maddy’s outfit, she’s totally rocking that bib!
I read everyday but don’t usually comment. But I had to tell you this. Yesterday, about 6:30pm I was driving to the grocery store and heard ‘at last’ on the radio. I listened to the whole song and cried and thought about you and Liz. I didn’t realize yesterday was your wedding anniversary until I read your blog today and read ‘forevers’
Madeline is really growing up – and she looks *exactly* like Liz. I hope you guys have a great weekend!
Matt, your post on Rachel’s blog was beautifully written, but I especially loved the ending! And of course the pics Gina took are gorgeous!! You know we all love the first shot, but I just can’t get over the second one of Miss M and those beautiful blue eyes!! Oh, and the skull bib is completely badass! Hoping you’re having a great day in the Banff!
Amazing summary you wrote on Rachel’s blog. If you don’t steer your career into photography, maybe a writing gig should be your next stop.
Gina’s pics continue to amaze me and I do believe you’d make 2pac proud with your homage to him.
No need to explain how you talk to gentle/asshole ben – Christa n valencia & I don’t bother explaining our open mouth kissing to anyone…nor her absolute lust over my rack.
that outfit is awesome…no backstory needed! And the look is PRICELESS!
1. Love the Banff look- styling!
2. Gina’s has ‘that thing’ that captures amazing memories- love the shoes/baby feet shot!
3. Hope your trip is going wonderful and that your Wednesday anniversary wasn’t all pain.
4. You are both looking very happy and healthy if I may say so!
I really only read the comments section to see what Gentle/A$$hole Ben has to say. LOL! Cracks me up every time.
Hope you made it through your anniversay ok. I know anniversary dates can be tough.
And you may have just scared off all of Madeline’s “boyfriends” with that outfit. Love the bib though…going to be a badass little lady.
Happy Anniversary yesterday. I’m sure it was a difficult day but I hope there were plenty of smiles in all the wonderful memories!
Nice expression, Madeline!
Very touching piece at SMS.
Maybe this will bring you a smile….

omg that face is priceless!
LOVE LOVE LOVE The outfit, and not gonna lie, I’m pretty good about holding back the tears…but when I read your blog on Rachel’s site…couldn’t help but let some fresh ones fall.
Let the good times keep rolling in Banff:)

The bib rocks! The photos even more so!

loved your blog on rachel’s site. man, you have a way with words. you are doing great with your newest forever.
@gina – LOVED the pics…madelines eyes are just piercing….so clear.
The photos of you and Madeline are beautiful. She is a little mini Liz.
Stunning photos!!
Wow! Those photos are amazing! I LOVE the one of Madeline up close..her eyes are so beautiful…they look like star burst!!! AMAZING!!
@kate (#35) – that may be the single coolest thing. ever. holy shit.
@matt – not sure what needs explaining about the outfit, as i think little m looks exactly like the rock star she is. and congrats on another guest blog, a beautiful story that will never simply be “old news.”
continue enjoying beautiful banff!
My 2nd comment….just wondered how u are doing as I just read your anniversary was yesterday?!!! Hope you are hanging in there as that must have been a very hard day!!
@Maddy: I *LOVE* your skull bib!
@Marissa: I can’t believe you told everybody about you and Christa! And your rack!
@Gentle Ben: Do you look like Clint Howard? Cuz that’s what I picture when Matt calls you that. Clint Howard in cool boots.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattlogelin/2633068297/
@gentle ben- you make me laugh. fucking funny.
@gina- you are simply amazing with that camera. wow.
@matt- the pics are all so awesome. her eyes, your feet, the black and white kiss…so precious. and as always, you wrote another fabulously well written piece. enjoy the rest of your vaca.
Hi Matt,
I’m new to your story and your blog. I just found you yesterday and haven’t been able to pull myself away from reading your posts. I will certainly become a regular reader now.
I just wanted to say that the photos by Gina are beautiful. Yesterday, when I was going back through your archives, obviously the whole experience was emotional. But once I got to that first slideshow that Gina did for you, that set off the tears and I found myself bawling at my desk (thankfully, it was after hours and there was no one at work but me).
Actually, it was the realization that you wear Liz’s rings on your pinky that did it. I had noticed it in pictures before the slideshow, but thought it was a funky pinky ring. Seeing Gina’s photos was the first time I saw them clearly enough to figure out what they were. And for whatever reason, I guess that made the pain you have endured real for me.
I can’t even begin to imagine what you are going through… but I just wanted to tell you how amazing I think you are. I know you are not the first father to ever lose his wife and the mother of his child(ren), but the manner and timing in which you lost her (it seems) is especially difficult. To have to pick up the pieces to care for a newborn baby… it’s just amazing. And from what you’ve written and the photos you’ve shared… it is so completely obvious how much you love that baby. As you should, but still.
In the photo above, I could not help but see the striking resemblence Madeline shares with Liz. Wow. She is (and Liz was) absolutely beautiful.
Best wishes to you. I’ll be keeping up with you, for sure.
Heather
P.S. I just have to know–do you pronounce Madeline: “Made-LYNN” or “Made-LIE-N”? I assumed Made-LYNN throughout all my reading (since Madeline was my great-grandmother’s name and spelling). But when I saw Gina refer to her daughter Madeleine (with different spelling), I started to wonder.
That bib is the COOLEST! Where did you get that!?! The pics are adorable! I love the one wiht M on your head! Your look is awesome!
I love the little bug eyes. So precious.
Checked out your guest spot on Rachel Sarah’s page. You are so simple with your words but yet they make an impact that is so deep. Keep up your writing as you continue to heal and grow.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
@ben – you are too funny. Matt has such great friends.
@gina – you take the most fabulous photos, although M & M are easy on the eyes. Your photos are just stunning.
@Matt – great post on Rachel’s blog. I love when you guest blog. Hope the Banff is a blast. The pics so far have been beyond beautiful.
Thinking of you, as always, in the mn….
Love the outfit!
Mini pirate? No matter what, it is terribly cute. Especially the apparent look of shock on her face.
You know, I keep saying “I’m not going to read Matt’s blog at work”. I really should stick to my convictions, because here I am, blubbering at my desk. Your post on Rachel’s blog broke my heart for you, all over again, but the pics of you and Maddie we’re just so uplifiting, that it balanced it out. You hear this a thousand times a day, I’m sure, but she is such a delightful, beautiful little girl, she must make your heart burst with pride. I know somewhere, Liz is beaming with the same pride, watching over you both.
I’m gonna go bawl into my lunch now, excuse me.
Awesome pics from Gina. Love Madeline’s outfit, the skull and bones bib is totally fashion forward and the guest blog you did was eloquently written, as usual. I can only imagine how hard yesterday was for you, hopefully the company of many loved ones and hugs from cyberspace helped to ease the pain of a tough day.
We could sure use some of that cool Banff air down here, we are sweltering! Love the pictures!
Madeline looks JUST like Liz in that picture! She’s so beautiful!
What a face!
Those photos of you and Maddy are AMAZING! I love them. Hope you are having fun on vacation!
Love the pic of Maddy’s feet and your shoes… wow!
Great post at Single Mom Seeking – honest and heartfelt as ever.
Sending love
LOVE the outfit..and love Gina’s pictures even more!!
Hope you’re enjoying your trip!
She is starting to look like Liz more everyday. She’s beautiful!
RE: rachel’s blog
they saw each other once.
she never held her.
she was never held by her.
I am bawling like this is the first time I’ve heard this story. My heart aches for Madeline and it aches for Liz never getting to hold that sweet baby girl.
RE: Gina’s pictures
they are awesome
Beautiful guest blog….I am still looking through tears right now….you are amazing!!!
hope yesterday was tolerable and that being with your family helped a ton. and you are so lucky to have friends like gentle/asshole ben. hysfuckinsterical.
(((hugs)))
@gina – i will say it again – awesome freaking pictures.
@marissa – you crack me up.

I love the pics! shes changed sooo much…more beautiful every day
I always here this song and I didn’t really know the words or meaning until I looked them up… I think it fits you and Madeline. It’s by Chrisette Michele – Your Joy
Walk down the sidewalk
Staring at your feet
Wishing my steps were longer
So by your sides I could keep
Hold your hand much bigger
Never wanted mine to grow
So I could always fit perfect
Inside your palms just so
No one loves me just like you do
No one knows me just like you do
No one can compare to the way my eyes fit in yours
You’ll always be my father
And I’ll always be your joy
Lay me on your belly
Nights when Mama wasn’t home
Lightning made me shiver
And you never let me feel alone
I tried to match your breathing
Beating my little heart against yours
Perfect were the nights we were sleeping
I never want to end what we are
‘Cause no one loves me just like you do
And no one knows me just like you do
No one can compare to the way my eyes fit in yours
You’ll always be my father
And I’ll always be your joy
One day he’ll come on bended knee
And ask my love away from thee
And when I give my love to him
He’ll always have a place within
One day he’ll come on bended knee
And ask my love away from thee
And when I give my love to him
You’ll always have a place within
No one loves me just like you do
No one knows me just like you do
No one can compare to the way my eyes fit in yours
You’ll always be my father
And I’ll always be your joy
She is so adorable, love the new pictures!
Maddy is rockin that outfit. I think these would be an awesome addition to it though.
(I would not be surprised if I screwed that HTML up, so sorry in advance if I did)
Matt you and Liz managed to make one gorgeous child.
I love the pictures on Gina’s site – incredible!!!
@Matt- Great guest blog. Even though I follow your story daily, I never get tired of hearing you retell it. You truly have a way with words. Thinking of you…
Really though, you are amazing! I love your pictures!
@Gina- I don’t suppose you would travel to Nebraska to photograph my children?
The outfit is awesome! Don’t doubt yourself – she is going to be so happy to she has a cool dad that can help her dress! One the best memories of my dad and I is going new school shopping! He has a great fashion sense!
The pics that Gina took are amazing. That first one of you and Maddy is awesome. Her are look so pretty!
Wow Matt- this is seriously the first time I’ve cried at work. Usually I can hold it together. I can’t imagine the pain that yesterday brought, but at least you are with family and your beautiful baby girl. Thinking of all of you.
yesterday was august 13th. I hope all went well for you. I was thinking of you.
Checks, polka dots, strips and skull and crossbones?? You do have some explaining to do!
She is so cute, the pictures are AMAZING!
Happy Anniversary Matt!
Lift your glass and make a toast to your beautiful wife and daughter!
She is with you always!
awesome awesome photos!!!!! i seriously have to invest in a good camera
Oh my goodness that little gal is getting so big and more beautiful by the day. I can only imagine what she was looking at! her expressions are priceless!
gratitude – for the pictures from banff. my god how can there be such beauty, how could i have forgotten. thanks for reminding me.
Matt,
Wow! You really do have a way with your words, straight from the heart. Thanks for sharing.
Take care,
Debbie
I need that bib for my Sophie!
ugh. terribly hard to get through those anniversary dates. birthdays suck too–just a warning. glad that you were spending the day with family.
and i’m SO glad that your REAL (non-creeper) friends like ben read your blog too. i always wonder how many of yours and liz’s friends keep up daily like the rest of us stranger friends?
What can I say that hasn’t already been said? My first wedding anniversary approaches and we’re talking babies and kids, and as I read your blog and think about my hopes for my life with my husband/best friend/partner in crime, I’m terrified, but also incredibly reassured. I can’t begin to imagine what you’ve gone through, but I can see that you are doing a beautiful job raising your daughter. Add one more name to your list of stranger friends.
Madeline is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Nothing to say but WOW. Pics are just awesome and your piece Matt, just brilliant.
Is it me, or does your little California girl look a bit stunned at the cold weather?
Regardless, she is a beauty!
Donna
Oh the outfit – dang that kid can dress. The pics are stunning – those eyes are so bright!! Your guest blog was perfect, and I hope the 13th was an ok day for you.
Matt, I thought you’d appreciate this… I took my 9 month old in for his well-baby checkup and he’s 30 inches long. I’m a short mama like Liz (59 3/4 inches tall). I spent the rest of the day being ridiculed by people pointing out that my 9 month old was more than half as tall as his mom. Thought of you and Liz every time.
i have been a reader of your blog for awhile now. haven’t had the words to say anything. tonight i am feeling brave. i think you are an amazing person, matt. madeline is one lucky girl to have you as her daddy. i think about you guys everyday and send good thoughts your way.
Holy Crap, those are amazing pictures. Of course the subject is awesome.
Can’t wait to hear more about the outfit and your trip.
Thanks for sharing, as always!
Matt, I’m not sure if I’ve ever commented or not. I read that your wedding anniversary was yesterday. I just wanted to say that I’m sorry and I’m praying for you and Madeline every day. You are an exceptional father and Madeline is a beautiful (and good-natured from the sound of it) baby. From the pictures you have posted of Liz, I think Madeline looks like her Mama. Same pretty, bright eyes and big, big smile.
I truly am sorry that you lost your wife. Thank you for sharing your life with us. We are all better for it. Natalie
Oh my hell, that is the cutest photo EVER!!!! She looks afraid of her bib.
Matt,
So many things to say… Gina’s pictures are amazing. Madeline is so stinking cute and the dress you have on her… NICE WORK! Love it! Your writing on Rachel’s blog is beautiful. No surprise. Your wedding picture, so beautiful. You can just see how Liz is looking at you with so much joy. Your pictures on Flickr’ from Banaff and they are SO beautiful. Thank you for sharing your new life and old life with us. I look forward to your words each and everyday. They make me realize how much I have to be thankful for.
Another Jen from the 817 tx.
Can I borrow that bib when she’s done with it??
Seriously with those pictures? Her eyes are amazing..she is so beautiful…
Your post on Rachel’s blog was beautifully written. It brought back all the emotions I had when I first read your story. Now as I cry (and my heart aches even more), I also think of how far you’ve come. My goodness..look at that amazing daughter of yours..you’re an extremely strong person and an amazing father. Keep doing what you’re doing…and thank you again for letting us into your lives. You’re all forever in my thoughts and prayers.
Christine D
Love the outfit…very colorful! Now about the look on Madeline’s face…is she looking in a mirror at her outfit?!?! LOL She would look lovely in an old potato sack!!!
Those eyes slay me…
Maddy’s outfit needs no explanation.
Clearly she is gangsta.
LOVE the look on Maddy’s face! Looks like you’ve been shopping at Rude Girls!
Love her outfit!
The pics Gina took….awesome…Especially the one of both of your feet. She’s beautiful! She looks more like Liz! Great writing at Rachel’s blog! Thanks for sharing your life! Take care and here’s to more smiles and giggles from Maddy! xo
OK, I’m going to guess from Miss M’s expression there that she saw her first moose out the window. Those suckers are huge!
Enjoy the wildlife up there!
Maddy is georgous!!
)
The pictures that Gina did are absolutely amazing.
Matt, Maddy looks so much like her mommy it is so amazing and i’m so jealous because i have two girls and neither of them look like me.
I hope that you are doing well, i can’t imagine how hard wednesday must have been for you. Biggest hugs!
Beautiful pictures! What a beautiful collage of memories to stamp in time for the both of you to look at years from now!
Those pictures are beautiful. Nice to see the happiness in your lives.
May I say I keep on setting my background to your gorgeous Banff pictures.
My company keeps on making my default come back of course, but that just makes it more fun. New background every day this week! Its awesome when I get it home and have it on my super huge monitor instead of just this mini laptop! (PLUS they cant mess with it when I am not connected to the network)
That’s absolutely beautiful.
And the outfit she’s wearing really is rad.
I wasn’t going to comment on this post–everyone has already verbalized (in writing) my thoughts…Liz and Madeline’s awesome beauty and Matt’s incredible gift with words…thank you as always for sharing your life…
but I read this story and wanted to share it with Matt–don’t know if there is any way to find this husband/dad’s contact info, but thought you would have so many words of wisdom, support, encouragement for this dad…
http://www.wral.com/news/national_world/national/story/3385674/
Awesome pictures from Gina and that outfit and face on Madeline is priceless! Hope your having a great time in the Banff.
OMG, that photograph cracks me UP!!!! I love the cute look on her face and I LOVE her outfit – where did you get it – I want one for my kid. Lil’ Madeline is really coming into her own – she is GORGEOUS!
I have followed your blog for quite some time now and never posted a comment. I think you are an amazing dad and are doing such a wonderful job with sweet Madeline. She looks so much like Liz with those big beautiful eyes. I only wish that my husband would take care of my two boys the way that you are doing with Madeline.
The pictures that Gina took are amazing, I just love the last one of you and Maddy, simply precious. Keep writing, you are truly great at it.
PS…I hope you week went well, hopefully looking at that precious face of Madeline smiling up at you took away a little bit of the pain you have endured especially during your anniversary week.
She is beautiful! She gets more gorgeous as she gets older. Thank you for sharing with us.
Matt,
I hope that you were able to remember some of the great times you had with Liz on your anniversary. I’m sure it was a tough day, but you have that beautiful little piece of her by your side (and often strapped to your chest) to help remind you of the love you will always share.
Madeline’s outfit rocks. My 3-year old likes to mix and match patterns in a similar way.
haha madeline is awesome. i love the outfit and the look on her face is priceless.
What? Polka dots, stripes, and checkers don’t all go together?
Oh shit, now I must go change my outfit!
No explaination needed, Mads outfit is great!!
Your post on Rachel’s blog is great! I have been “with you” for quite some time and reading your story never, ever gets old. Rachel’s daughter looks like a real beauty.
Gina took wonderful photos of you both! Madeline is a little Liz all the way (I do see a few “Matt expressions” thrown in there occassionally).
Hope that you were able to remember all about your wedding day and your beautiful bride on this anniversary. I can imagine that it was a very difficult day for you. Thinking about you and Liz.
It is wonderful to meet you Matt and the baby. She is beyond adorable. I want to thank you for sharing with us. You are an amazing father and husband.
Those eyes are amazing…..
Wow this is the first time I’ve seen your blog. Andrea mentioned it. honestly I just don’t know what to say.
Matt, I just now saw that your anniversary would have been on the 13th.
I’m sorry.
Im so sad my work internet filter categorizes this blog as “audio/video” and won’t let me access it. Dadshouse is categorized as “Porn.” I think my internet filter is biased against single dads in general.
I think the outfit speaks for itself. It’s awesome!
Matt, I think you should sell your photos to a Banff tourism site. They are all so good.
I was absolutely thinking the same thing as Melissa. I want to go to the Banff now too and a couple weeks ago I hadn’t ever heard of such a location. It looks stunning.
I haven’t seen any pictures of Madeline in a while, but I looked today and she is beautiful!! She is growing up so much. Hope all is well!
- Meagan
Matt, the pics that Gina took of your lil miss and you are darling!!!! Really they turned out amazing:) Maddy is getting big and looks a lot like you but even more of her beautiful mother:)
Hugs,
Laura
I just found your blog through MomDot. What a beautiful little girl you have. I`m so sorry to hear about Liz, the “what happened” post made me cry even though I don`t know you.
It`s great that you are traveling with Madeline . . . is she a good traveler? It`s something I want to do with my boys, but I`m a bit nervous!
Your little girl is so cute, i only just started reading your blog a few weeks ago, im so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife.
You are truly amazing!
All the best
You are simply amazing!
Come back! We miss you.
I find myself looking for an update several times a day.
I’m the one with two little boys and my husband thinks i’m loony for following your story. Oh well…
You look really happy lately. I don’t know if it’s because you’re so busy or MAYBE the pain is easing a little! I hope it lasts! You look great and Madeline is getting cuter and cuter every day
Looking forward to an update!
Kari from the Cedar Rapids (Iowa)
ok three days without a matt n maddy update is just way to effing long.
for the love..can we all have an update?!!?
Hi, I’ve never posted on here yet, but I wanted to say I am a hooked reader. I cried and cried at the beginning when reading about Liz. I started reading about a week after I had my second son and I had had a c-section also. It just rang too close to home. I wanted to let you know that I think you are an incredibly strong person and Madeline is beautiful. She looks so much like her mother.
Got to say that I love tMadeline’s outfit. Also wanted to say that I love the music you are posting throughout your site. I am going wild updating my collection. I was pretty lame for a little awhile with my taste.
Very priceless expression!
MATT! I’m checking your blog 4-5 times a day looking for your updates. I hope your having so much fun that your to busy to update. But please update us. We’re going crazy. I can’t wait to find out what you’ve been up to.
She is LOVING that bib! Seriously.
I don’t even know what to say beyond that…your anniversary…Liz was beautiful. May you feel her love vibrate within you.
I’m having fucking withdrawal here…… wheres the banff update?? Wheres Madeline? Did she smile and laugh a bunch at Daddy? Did Dad fall into a glacier???…….
Hope you’re having so much fun you don’t have time to update us.
When’s the fucking vacation over?
Glad you guys seem to be having a wonderful but busy times :]
Love the photos and love her cute little outfit!
That article made me cry, no matter how many times i read what happened i still cry!!
I cant wait to see all your pics when you get back!
beautiful pictures… and I absolutely LOVE that bib!
Asalamalaykom,
I hadn’t read what you wrote until just now. I couldn’t. Sometimes I can’t face what has happened to you. It’s too surreal and it makes me uncomfortable to be reminded that we are temporary–not just after 80 years, but whenever God decides. Subhanallah.
The photos. Mashallah. The photos are of another realm than other family photos. Not everyone has these gorgeous images. Maybe you don’t know that. Alhumdulillah.
Your Liz was so photogenic. You know what makes a person photogenic? Being fully alive in the moment. Miss Madeline knows all about this.
One more thing: you are wrong about something, Mr. Matt. And I’m sorry, but I have to correct you—Your Liz did indeed hold Miss Madeline. Your Liz carried her for months. They were closer than close. They shared nutrients and oxygen and love.
See that belly button? NOT YOURS! Miss Madeline’s! That’s the closest she ever was to Your Liz. Kiss it and know the connection. That bellybutton is where life and love flowed from mother to child. Subhanallah for baby belly buttons.
