Ok, I just want to gobble her up. With a spoon. Doesn’t that smile just make your heart BURST with happiness?! I love it when she looks up at you, Matt. She knows her daddy…and it’s clear that she’s crazy about him.
Isn’t that the best feeling ever? When they look up at you and smile? I think they know what we are saying, they just can’t repeat it back yet. Hey Matt-This is my first visit to your blog. Came this way from another young widow friend of mine out of California, Mel. Anyway, I know your pain. I feel it daily. Lost my husband to brain cancer in January of ‘08. We’d been married seven years, together 13. He was a genuine guy and cared deeply about the world and those in it. Ironically, smart as hell too. He was a software engineer for Imation (Oakdale, MN). We found out he had brain cancer during my third trimester of pregnancy. It was our first. I’m now a single parent to a 21 month old adorable kid, Ethan. What would we do without them? Thank you for sharing your story and providing us a view into your life through words and photography. You are not alone on this complicated, painful journey. At 31, widowhood is beyond explanation. I’m certain it will take me years to figure out this new life. I’ll be back..you’re daughter is beautiful by the way. Absolutely beautiful..
