so happy to see y’alls faces–5 months really works well on little madeline. so sorry that this process is such a painful, difficult one. after my father died i read something about how loving people and dealing with the fact that our lives end–and not all at the same time is really what makes our lives so fascinating and painful all at the same time. i am sure liz must have known how much you loved her in life, but the testament to your love in her death (i think) is what makes us all so compelled to check in on you every day. i think we are all hoping to keep you standing as you go through this awful experience with our on-line stranger/friend support. one day at a time is all you can do.

Thinking of you 3 today as I listened to Sun Kil Moon’s “Lost Verses” Madeline looks beautiful – I can’t believe how much she’s grown and how she is sprouting blonde hair!! Just know that wherever you are, you are in my thoughts and prayers here in the MN. : )

Madeline is very beautiful and she is growing pretty fast. I first read your blog last July 2 and I came back yesterday when I finally figure out your web address.
I am so sorry for your loss…I could not say I know how you feel because although I lost a Mom…lossing a wife is real different thing. All I could offer is prayers for you and your Madeline that God will give you more strength to go on with life.
