I purchased the pink LL5K women’s tee tonight, but I was really hoping to get one of the “I heart robots” shirts in a baseball tee for women–any chance you guys can do that?

I wouldn’t get a LGLM5K tshirt in time for the walk (I am in Australia) so would it be ok if I made my own??

I would love to see a pink robot on a black shirt, with LGLM5k on it. Mens style shirt would be great, since they typically give a little more room than the ladies shirts do.

Hi there. Listen Matt. I am a strong Republican adn have always enjoyed your blog. I have prayed for you family every day and have even sent you little one some items. So why do you call republicans evil on your blog and then goes so far tomake shirts to degrade them as well? Is this a Democrate only blog? Do you want only love and support from people who are just like you and no one else? Or would you rather be thankful to be an American and thank your lucky stars that you live in a place thats lets people be different in ways such as religion, politics and so forth? I think it’s cool that you feel strongly about your views and you can even disagree with the others but it needs to be in a mature nature not they are evil. I am a huge Mccain supporter but never would I say Obama is evil or make up a shirt saying robots hate Obama. Thats just silly! Kudos to Obama for being the first biracial pres nominee! But this is your blog if you want only your democrats to be on here please say so…but please no not every republcanyou cross is evil. I didn’t buy a shirt like i had planned to when I saw those…others like myself might do the same.

  33. Posted 9/10/2008 at 9:12 am | Permalink

    @Julie…

we like everyone, democrat or republican!

the thing is, some of the shirts are meant to be (as you even said), “silly.”

sort of a joke between friends…

and like a few people above said, some republicans like robots (they’re in on the joke!).

i hope you understand that we’re not trying to drive anyone away here…just trying to laugh.

maybe we should have a “democrats hate robots” shirt just to keep things “fair and balanced”?

    sorry if you’re offended…

Well, since you asked…….I would love to see a tank top (it’s going to be HOT here in the AZ for the LGLM5K! And I like the stranger/friend one, but I think it’d be cute the way Matt does it where Stranger is literally crossed out and Friend is underneath or next to it. (Just my suggestions, but I love what you’ve done so far!)

Hey I just wanted to say I am one of the few Republicans who follows the blog, but I’m not offended by the shirts or the silly things on the posts. You have to take everything lightly. Now granted a “Democrats are robots” shirt would make me chuckle, but I’m not going to boycott the GOA until I see one. I know it’s hard to identify sarcasm on the net, and not everyone will get it, but I doubt anyone is here to seriously attack political views. It’s all very lighthearted. So yea, you guys are stuck with me for a while. :)

As a Republican, I, as I’m sure many others, are supporters of Matt and Madeline because we are just nice, caring people. I don’t get offended with people who share a difference of opinion regarding religion, life-style, or who they choose to support for president. Difference is what makes this country so awesome and I’m sure Matt appreciates us all – regardless of party affilitation. Now excuse me while I put on some lipstick and load my rifle. HAHa. Here are some ideas for the fair and balanced t-shits.

    Biden Obama Jokes

Q, Why should Obama choose Joe Biden as his VP?
    A. Obama needs to win Delaware to avoid getting skunked.

    Q. What ever happened to Joe Biden’s old wig?
    A. It was chased away by a dog.

    Q. Why did Joe Biden get a hair transplant?
    A. To hide the mark of the beast.

    Q. What’s the difference between Obama bin Biden and Osama bin Laden?
    A. With Obama bin Biden you get two for the price of one.

    *********************

    McCain versus Obama Jokes

If John McCain is elected President of the United States then the French will immediately surrender to us. If Barack Obama is elected President then the French will immediately invade us.

Here an interesting fact: If you add John McCain’s age and Barack Obama’s age together you’ll get the number of times Obama usually says “uh” when answering a question.

The age disparity between the two candidates in the upcoming election is significant. John McCain is 71 years old. By contrast, Barack Obama is 322 years old in dog years.

    Q. Why did John McCain cross the road?
    A. There was an Old Town Buffet on the other side.
Q, Why did Barack Obama cross the road?
    A. To help the other side.

After Barack Obama claimed to have campaigned in 57 states, John McCain should have sent him the name of a good Alzheimer’s specialist.

(And yes for anyone who caught something I totally did it on purpose. We Democrates can’t spell I guess)
