WOW - the world is a pretty fucking kick ass place if you ask me. I'm humbled to see that people care... there is hope for mankind.

My wife and 2 kids were out of town so I ran all by myself. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics. However, St. Louis was represented and honored to be partaking in such an amazing movement of thoughtfulness, generosity, kindness and compassion.

Be well,
David

our walk meant so much to us that Day Matt.

My mother took us to a beautiful spot I had never been- which is hard when you live in an area isolated by water..still it was new..
and gorgeous.

A profoundly sacred event- to remember a woman who touched the lives of many- form what Matt has shown us of Liz- her kindness alone made the world better for everyone she met.

that is a gift.

so THANK YOU to Liz-.. to her mother and father for giving her life.
Thank you to Matt and Madeline for sharing so much with us..
and the organizers.. thank you so much!

Thank You for sharing your story and life with us everyday and for sharing Liz and Madeline with us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey and for being open to the kindness of so many stranger friends. It was wonderful to be a part of this tribute to Liz. Christine D.

Hey Matt,
I had hoped to meet up with the creeps at the Calhoun but landed in ND for that weekend so I did my own private walk/run with a friend and my kids in Fargo. It was interesting explaining to my kids why I was dragging them away from their grandparents to go for a walk/run/scooter ride for an hour. Once I explained the whole thing about Liz, Madeline, and you, I realized how we should truly never take any of our loved ones for granted. I hope the kids also gained a bit of that perspective as well. No matter how you slice it, it was a gorgeous day to be walking in memory of an inspirational woman and an amazing family.

Thanks for sharing Liz's memory with us who never knew her. Will post a pic or two of the Fargo participants... Woo Hooo!

I have goosebumps reading this post and all the responses. Such an awesome thing to happen from something so sad and tragic. Matt and Maddy are always in my thoughts and prayers, was such an honor to walk for Liz. It would be cool to make it to the MN next year, I was born in St Paul and my parents are from up north, Keewatin and Nashwauk. They know Lake Calhoun area very well. Maybe........
