Having cancer has robbed me of my ability to donate blood and bone marrow to those in need, so I donate my time instead...I volunteer at a local hospice. It's the legacy I want my children to remember...that I NEVER gave up. I did it ALL and on my OWN terms. Cancer may take my body, but I'll fight it as long as I can. I know how much it sucks....it sucks for my family right now, especially my dad. 41 years of marriage. It kicks my ass with a 3 month old son and a daughter that just turned 3 yesterday. Don't know what to say when she hands me my phone and says "let's call grandma". More than I can take.... I just lost my mom on October 8th to breast cancer at 59 years old.
