She is adorable!! Go Obama, and No on 8!!
Hey Matt and Maddy..
Love the shirt. Go Obama!
I already voted and now I am on pins and needles for the rest of the day.
She’s is too cute! I’m glad she likes Obama! I voted today, yay!
We need him to win. As a Canadian living in New England, I wait impatiently to see what my American neighbors will choose for me. I have gotten into lively rows with my fellow Graduate students, I have worn my Obama button every day ( even on Friday night as I distributed candy to little ghouls dressed as Caribou Barbie). I have read every article, pressed my point, encouraged people to choose, explained that socialized healthcare does not lead to communism. I even made it my personal mission to convince my registered Democrat neighbor who claimed to be undecided to go with me to a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire last night where we waited in the cold for an hour and a half while the fire marshal and the secret service decided that we could be the LAST TWO allowed inside, and as I turned to him with zeal in my eyes as my hand left the soft grip of BILL CLINTON himself, he said “YOU have my vote!!!!!”. I have redeemed my Canadian Citizen, non-voting status with a convert and have equalized the Karma of the Universe. I wish Toot could have seen it and I am ready, more than ready to watch their faces as he wins.
She is so freakin’ adorable! We voted absentee (hubby is military) in INDIANA so I’m crossing my fingers that it gets counted!
Go Obama!!
maddy is getting so BIG!! love her!
(proudly voting MCCAIN/PALIN!! ’08)!!
Yeah!!! I’m so glad Madeline wore her Obama shirt to daycare today. Too cute! Go Obama!
I’m having a fun giveaway for a great cause on my blog. 4 (maybe 5) bed nets will be going to kids in Africa to prevent malaria and one (maybe 2) t-shirts will be given to the blog reader(s) that are picked. Come leave a comment before 7pm CST and enter to win! (And learn about malaria too!)

A Canadian here urging all of you to vote!! I have dual citizenship (grew up in Florida) and I exercised my right to vote long distance!!
To echo the words above Go Obama and a Huge No on 8!!!!
Go Maddy! No on 8!

I wasn’t going to vote, but she’s so freaking cute that I think I will now.

SHE. IS. FUCKING. ADORABLE.
@Jess in the Aloha: I still love you, Man!!! LOL
Absolutely adorable. GO OBAMA!
I can’t believe you can get her to stand up steady like that. I’d expect her to topple over.
She is sooo stinking cute! Good choice in shirts Maddy!Barack the vote!
love her!
Connor, Paul and I are voting as a family when he gets home today. It’s Connor’s first election. He’s wearing blue today in support of Obama.
No on 8! No on 7 and 10, too. They are deeply flawed and are not a solution to our environmental problems.
OK, enough politics, Happy Election Day everyone. Regardless of your views, please go vote today. It is the most important thing you can do as a citizen. Please remember the billions worldwide who do not have the right that we take for granted. You CAN make a difference. Look at what we have done through the power of Matt’s blog.
Peace.
A beautiful day here in Minnesota. Should be good for voter turn out!
GO OBAMA!!!
D’oh! Typed in my website wrong. Have you voted yet? Well, what are you waiting for? Go!
Listen to Madeline!
Awesome picture. Awesome Smile. Awesome t-shirt!

And Maddy gets may get my vote. All depends if DD runs.
That is one smart girl!!
I wish Madeline could vote! This means that all of the rest of us need to go out there and make it happen. I voted via absentee ballot and am proudly wearing my sticker all day long.
I have never left a comment although I’m a long time reader.
Maddie looks fabulous in her Obama shirt.
Go Obama!
@Erin in the L.A.: Congrats on the baby!!!
Go OBAMA!!!! She’s too cute in her shirt.
I’ve done my part today!
Great shirt Madeline! Go Obama! I spent an hour and a half in line waiting to vote today. I literally almost cried at the polls as I voted for a black man! It all just felt so special.
Sitting here on pins and needles until the results are in.

If that doesn’t swing votes the RIGHT way I don’t know what will.
Great shirt!! Yay for Obama! Can’t wait to see what happens. Wishing you and your sweet Madeline a great day!
she gets more adorable with every passing day, but never more adorable than with an obama shirt on!
Love the tee and the beautiful smiles, Madeline! GO OBAMA!
Did early voting in Texas, proud to say my vote to McCain/Palin. Do I still get to comment on here.
Not to many of us old folks, so had to speak up! Just found out grandbaby #9 is on the way. Woohoo! K8, you are an awesome lady!

Love the video! I was at my polling place before 7am this morning and still had to wait 30 minutes. Awesome!
To bad I voted for McCain before I saw this, or Maddy might have changed my mind.
A smile that big, and that cute, could only be for OBAMA! Let’s hope America gets the unity it needs by voting Obama into our highest office today.
I did my part…
Maddy is the prettiest lil’ Democrat I’ve seen! Just voted at lunch for Obama, and am going to an Obama party tonight! I’m so proud today!
Rock On! Go Obama! Love the shirt! She is so cute!!
I already did my part – go Obama! No on 8!
Wish I could vote along with you , my imaginary vote goes to OBAMA and OH NO on 8

Babies for Obama!!! Yeah babies, yeah …
Done Madster, I always will do as you say.
I work in the same town I live in so voting today was a breeze, I went at 1:30. NO LINE. I got back in time for my 2:00 conference call with 10 minutes to spare
The people at the polls said there was a 2 hour wait at 7am. Suckahs!
I voted your way today, Maddy! Thanks for your enthusiasm!
Look at her standing!! OMG – she is just getting cuter and cuter every day.
I’ll pass on commenting on who I voted for; but I am so thankful we get to vote! Just VOTE!
sooo cute! My husband John and I adore reading all about you and Madeline. BARACK THE VOTE.
Maddy sure does have a lot of GREAT things to say! Hope you both are doing well. Love and Hugs from the Menifee!
I love how she can stand there like that! My 7 month old can’t do that.
I voted! Go Obama and so important here, NO on 8!
‘NO WAY, NO HOW, NO McCAIN! OBAMA ALL THE WAY!!’ Cast my vote today in the San Diego area. I’m one of those doom and gloom Dems and I’ll be on pins and needles ALL FRIGGIN’ DAY!
Maddy is just getting so big and so beautiful each day! You’re doing such an awesome job!!
Love the tee! Yes, I did vote – early voting last week in GA. I only had to wait 1 hour and today I’m wearing my “I voted” sticker.
Go Obama!
Not an obama fan, but definitely a fan of Madeline in a voting shirt! lol
Also, my nine month old refuses to hold his weight on his legs, and look at Madeline all holding herself up. She’ll be an early walker from the looks of it!
I’m Canadian as well. So I cant vote. However I am for Obama. My hubby he is American and he is for that other guy. Lets hope he forgets to vote today. Maddy is just a doll. I cant believe how big she is getting.
Oh…is it Election Day today? I hadn’t realized. Thanks for the reminder, Maddy!
(The fact that I took the online Canadian residency qualification test again last night — just in case — was purely coincidence. I mean, it’s not like they’ll try to steal a THIRD election, right? Yeah, right.)
Anyway, I think you’re on to something with this new set of “Maddy says…” posts. I think we’d all do quite nicely on a steady diet of her pearls of wisdom.
And here’s hoping THIS time, the guy who actually wins the election gets to be president, too.
I voted for the other guy, but still think Madeline SO precious.
For Madeline’s future — vote Obama!!!!!
She is adorable!
Proudly voted for McCain and Palin!!
For Madeline’s future — Obama!!!!!!!!
Took care of it last week via absentee ballot!
Proudly boo’d the Yes On 8 asshats this morning driving to work.

GO MCCain and Palin!!!! NO ABORTION< Thank you!!!
Yup. Did it this morning. Go Obama!
OMG, how precious is she in her Obama gear??? I would never have guessed that the red-white-and-blue went so well with pink, but I’m tempted to run out and get myself a pair of pink pants now.
For her sake, and my boys’, and all of ours…go Obama!
She’s adorable
I voted for McCain last week.

Let’s see the change Obama man!
Maddie is one smart baby! Go Obama and NO on 8!!!!
A Republican with a sense of humor here. She’s adorable though. And I can’t believe how she’s standing. She’ll be walking in no time.
Smart girl, Mad! Too bad she can’t get her vote on just yet…but I think she has more pull in America than a lot of people who can!

Adorable Little Maddy, but I proudly cast my vote for McCain!
And she says it well!
She’s too adorable for words! Obama Mama done with the drama!
Yes, but for WHO Madeline?? For WHO!!?!?!?!
If I weren’t already a hard-core democrat, seeing Maddy in that shirt would be enough to make me vote for Obama!!
Leah – I cried when I voted this morning too!! Glad to know I’m not the only one!!
Asalamalaykom Potential Voters,
If you don’t vote now, you can’t crab later.
And Madeline SAYS VOTE!
So so cute! Go Obama! I want a brighter future for sweet Maddy and kind of for me too ; -).
Voting after work, go Obama and NO on 8!!
So nice to see we can agree to disagree with our difference of opinions. Don’t you just love America?!?!
I definitely got my vote on a couple weeks back. Go Obama!
I just door knocked for Obama all day so that babies like Madeline can look forward to a better future. Matt – your fellow Minnesotans are totally going to make this a blue state again. (Screw purple.)
So stinking cute, I have a 19 mo old boy and a 3 mo old little girl. Can you believe how fast they grow? I did my part McCain/Palin 08, we can agree to disagree right

http://www.thelopezfamilyonline.com/play.php?first=Madeline&last=Logelin
Go Obama! The husband and I both voted today here in Iowa and we’re watching anxiously.
Wouldn’t it rock if Obama took Alabama? Can’t imagine how amazing that would be.
Maddy is so adorable, if the economy were better I maybe could’ve afforded four t-shirts for my kids. Tee hee.
Adorable! What a smart little girl!
She’s just too cute for words.
And she’s so smart, too — Go Obama! I’m looking forward to never hearing the name “Sarah Palin” again in my lifetime (or hers).
Hugs………..
NJ is no surprise, but MN is looking like Obama! I would just LOVE for Arizona to go that way! God this is exciting!
Love you Maddie!! You ARE a good luck charm.
Yay! Thanks for the video!
Right on, Maddie!!! My vote has been cast, and now I nervously await the results, with no surprise that my home state went red AGAIN…I was really hoping, I really was….the 40 year curse has not been broken!
And I think I may be more nervous awaiting the Prop 8 results…..NO on 8!!!!!!! I have too many good friends out in the CA who are entitled to their basic civil rights that are the foundation of this great, but somewhat f-ed up country that I call home : )
ok, miss maddy..if you say so! even voted for who you told me to vote for!
go blue states!!! almost time to celebrate!!!
hugs from milaca & lots of hope for the future
Love the shirt. If I could vote, and wasn’t already in “O’s” camp, I would have been swayed.
K
Hey Matt — I’ve been following your blog for months now, but haven’t commented until now. It’s hard to say which picture of Madeline is the cutest one ever. The Obama one is definitely up there! Go Obama! Go Madeline!!
Looks like the election went Maddy’s way. She sure is cute.
What a cutie! I am happy to say I voted!
Love the shirt!
It’s looking good for Obama.
I voted. But apparently it was like peeing in the ocean… won’t help McCain. Let’s all say a prayer for our great country. The greatest country ever. God Bless America, and God bless you Matt and Maddy. Your conservative pal , Cindy xxx0000
Obama WON!!!! Fucking A YAY! Yay for women, yay for minorities, and yay for being able to love who you want to!!
Hooray for Obama–Maddy you definitely have great taste! Can’t wait to hear more about what you’ve been up to lately.
Maddy did it. She helped Obama win. I’m so excited. I did my part too.
Yay Maddy. Yay Obama. What a great night!
Love Maddy’s shirt! she’s a cutie! great night!
In the video it looked there for a second like she wanted to take a step forward, and then thought to herself, “Wait a minute, I can’t walk yet!”
Too cute.
Madeline is so stinking cute! Just adorable! Thanks for the video clip and pics.
Adorable!! YAY! O-BA-MAAAAAAAAAA (as JD actually says! Says!)
Hi Maddy Mad!
I love her shirt. I am with her, Obama ’08.
Madeline so obviously loves you madly and deeply
SO glad to have Obama your next President. This Canadian very happy indeed with the outcome!
I have been a lurker for so long. And I know you won’t be surprised to know I have shed a few tears while reading your blog. And I have brought you and Liz and Madeline up in so many conversations.
But I want to say that I have loved watching Madeline grow through your words, experiences and pictures and I think you are an extraordinary person (and I know there are a lot of them out there that pick up pieces like you are doing as well.)
Madeline wearing the Obama shirt was just awesome (and that girl has balance on that couch!) and I think for her sake and the younger generation in general, they have a potentially great future to look forward to. You and Madeline have already been spreading cheer, inspiration and help to so many and I think we are all lucky to have things going in a different direction politically than they were.
I will continue to check in with you guys and feel free to get in touch with me at anytime if there’s anything you ever need. Give Madeline a HUGE hug.
