    Happy Thanksgiving Matt and Madeline!

I enjoyed the video of Madeline rolling over. It should be fun for you watching her attempts to crawl. I watched my nephew attempting this and he would be on all fours just rocking back and forth, then he got it! He is two now, and just running all over the place. I said to my brother tonight, this must be exhausting to chase him all over. He said it is, but worth it. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us.

I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, Matt, and to your family, and Liz’s family. Or maybe I should be more realistic and wish you all just a Bearable Thanksgiving — I’m sure that would be good enough this year.

I can’t imagine how many hard and painful moments you all must have had today (ugh…yesterday…late night catching up on work for me). Not that it’s a walk in the park the other days, but holidays do have a way of bringing out the suck.

But I also believe that if I’ve ever had the pleasure and honor of meeting a group of strong, brave, loving people who can wring joy and gratitude out of the shittiest of circumstances, and not just find solace in, but truly embrace and celebrate all their IS to be thankful for amidst agony, you folks are so it.

So I’m going to back to wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving, after all. If anyone could pull it off, I know it’d be you guys, and I hope that you did.

Think of you often. Warmly. Hope we run into you while you’re in town! xo

PS: I am loving your “Madeline says…” series! Even beats Schulz’s “Happiness is…” :-)

Beautiful bird, Beautiful baby.
