    Madeline rules!
    Oh and so excited to hear about your good news…hopefully it is that you can be a stay at home dad! I have a 9.5 mo old and it is getting a lot harder now that she is mobile, I think of you often when my husband is helping me feed her, change her, bath her, etc…you have to do all of it on your own! Single parents rule and I am in awe of you for doing all of this yourself, I honestly don’t know how you do it!
    Have a great Thursday!!!

    Matt,
    I’m a long time reader, first time poster. I don’t know why out of all that I have read, that this is the post to make me comment….oddly enough, it is. Madeline is such a beautiful little girl, a reminder of your wife who left you with the greatest gift. I am so sorry that she isn’t physically with you to share, but I do believe that they stay with you somehow. Not even close to the same loss, I lost my Grandfather in Jan 07. He was my favorite person ever! He suffered for months physically with a smile. A month later, I conceived a baby on his birthday. None of my other children resembled my Grandpa, Evan is the spitting image, down to the cleft chin. It is odd. I also get that same feeling with Maddy, she really has so much of Liz in her and sometimes it must hurt to look, but then other times you are so glad to see that face!!!

    Okay, way too long!!!
    I can’t believe you bought a fucking robot!!!!

    Happy robo-versary!

    My guesses at this great news announcement are varied:

    1. The robot got a job;

    2. Madeline is taking the avant garde piano performance on the road and all shows are sold out;

    3. You taught the robot to say “fuck”.

    I’m glad there is great news in your life; this time of year, especially.

    Love the robot! I have to share MY robot story from the week before last – my 5 year old son went to his first rock concert . . . The Cheetah Girls . . . and I could not bear to get him a T-shirt to commemorate the event, but that would embarrass him later! Hey, the boy has two older sisters – blame them for the choice of venues! But we were lucky enough to find a toy store on the way in and he picked out a robot (on his own) that immediately made me think of you and Madeline! I took many pictures of him at his first concert – along with one of “robot” at his first concert as well! Promise to send them on to you, as only you will truly appreciate the significance! LOL – people around me were surely wondering why I was holding robot up, stage left, to get a picture of a toy!
