Hi Matt,

I broke up again with my boyfriend yesterday. This time, I think is for the last time. I was devastated. Very sad. It is probably a very very very selfish thing, but I feel better now after reading your blog (I think I randomly read Oprah.com and somewhat came across your blog). My loss is nothing(!) compare to your loss.

I was trying to convince my ex to stay with me for almost a year after our first break up. He has no strong feeling towards me (I think), but being a good guy (or maybe a jerk), he keeps being nice to me. False hope at my end, misinterpretation of kindness and friendliness.
Your love to Liz is now my benchmark; I won’t take anyone who loves me less than you love Liz.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your wife. I lost my son in February of 2008 and while our losses are different, when you say you miss her more every day, you love her more every day..I relate so much. You have a beautiful little girl and are an amazing dad. I wish you all the best.

hi matt and maddy.. i was so amaze when i read ur story..i just searching something about the wedding dress of nepali then i saw ur pic with liz.. curiosity came in and i saw ur blog i was so touch ur such a sweet father to maddy and a loving husband of liz,, so sad she didnt spend more time with maddy.. i know and i feel maddy is very preciouse to u.. and she will be very smart girl someday..ur a great father and i wish someday will meet u too.. im very proud of u matt..two tumbs up!!! good luck..god bless u always..

Hiya,
I caught the end of Oprah today and you and Maddie were on it. I was curious so I Googled you. I’ve been reading your blog since 1:45pm it’s now 12 past midnight.

You’re an awesome Dad and you honour Liz’s life beautifully. Maddie’s life will be filled with her mother and that makes me really happy. My dad died when i was 5 and i still miss him and think about him everday. I raised my two daughters with my dad in their lives through stories and pictures.

I feel honoured that you let the world into your and Maddie’s life; thank you for sharing.
