This picture of you two made me cry. There’s something so sad about the two of you sitting there watching the waves……..without Liz. It just breaks my heart.

From the first moment – you have had her back. Secure, loving daddy.

LOVE it! So sweet, your hand on her back melts my heart, I have a photo of a Mom and her son (I was their nanny) that is similar. I vote for this one but there are so many that show your bond

My favorite photo of the 2 of you together. It’s beautiful. Your hand will always be guiding her..it’s you & Maddy against the world.

    With love & warmest wishes,

I love this one of you and Maddy, your hand resting on her back while you stare out over the ocean. It just tugs at my heart because it’s a touching yet lonely pic at the same time. Had I not already known the story, I would’ve felt something missing in this photo.

this has my vote. so precious; you’ve been her Daddy and protector since day one.

Many others have stated above why this is the favorite, and tear-provoking. I agree to all points. And you’re looking out, trying to find who/what is missing. Like what Lauren says above. There’s something so “full circle of life” about a body of water, too. So pure and innocent.

I’m not one for attention to detail. I kept clicking “Like It” because of course I like each photo, and only then picked up on the point of asking us. Doh. So, despite all my previous Yea votes, this one gets this most emphatic of the Yeas. Such a poignant photograph.

I absolutely LOVE this photo! You and Maddy and whatever is to come for the two of you (the horizon). Also, just in case this is for a book cover (which I hope it is) by having your faces away from the camera, it could be any dad and child in this big vastness of whatever is to come.

You cant see your faces, which I don’t like, but the picture is SO sweet and just shows what love looks like!

To me, this one says “We’ll weather any storm.”

delurking to comment… that I love this pic. I vote it. From Wiki: The English word “baptism” has been used in reference to any ceremony, trial, or experience by which one is initiated, purified, or given a name.

I agree with Thelicia (comment #2)…actually I was ok until I saw her comment and then I teared up. =) It does have such a feeling of “something’s missing.” BUT then again…what a loving, reassuring hand Maddy has on her back.

Delurking to say this is absolutely the one. I like so many others, but then this one froze me in my tracks. It’s you and Maddy, against the world. But then it’s you and Maddy, without Liz. It’s everything wrapped up into one and it’s both amazing and heart-wrenching at the same time.
