Hello Matt and Madeline,
Found you today on Oprah’s site. My heart goes out to you and Maddy but from the little I’ve read you are doing an awesome job in raising that beautiful little girl.
My mother passed away on March 26, 2009, my beautiful daughter whose birthday is 3/24/77 was with me sharing the most bittersweet, painful, loving experience of our lives as we assisted my mom in dying in her home as she would’ve wanted.
I’ve started the beginning of my firsts, Easter, Mother’s day, my birthday, first family reunion without her and of course all the 26ths that will be forever ingrained in mind. Not looking forward to the next big two holidays coming up.
I have found the grieving process to be a rollercoaster of emotions that I had no clue was coming. There is not one moment of my waking hours that I am not thinking of my mom. Not one single day that I don’t cry.
