the one who got
us here,
to this point,
is not here,
and will not be
taking the journey
with us,
but…
we’ll be taking it
for her.
and though she
wouldn’t believe
where we’ve been
or where we’re
headed, she’d
be way fucking
thrilled that
we are where we are.

You are so right! She would be thrilled. Please know, that I am, too. The reality you are taking to India makes me so proud of you and happy for you. I feel certain that writing your book will reveal a depth and growth that will amaze you – and us. We have been on the journey alongside you but will get to know you on a whole different level. If it weren’t for your incredible loss I would say you are leading a very charmed life, but it’s a close to charmed as you can get and it’s because of your incredible love for Liz and Maddy and how you have embraced this life amidst unimaginable grief.
