Congrats on the $1,000 win! I wish it was the first prize but every little bit counts. I'm also adding the foundation to my facebook profile right now.

Way to go Matt. It was one of the most difficult things I ever did after I lost my husband in January at the age of 26 (our son was 18 months), but I quit my job too. I worked as a Intensive In Home Mental Health therapist for 9 years and I resigned September 1st to stay home with my son Alek. I also took in two international students a 17 year old young lady from China and 15 year old young man from Canada. I hope to some day travel with Alek his father asked me to let him see the world and other cultures. I figured I could start by bringing some to our home by taking the students. I also want so bad to write a book (turn my blog into a book) to honor my husbands life and battle with a rare disease, going through a stem cell transplant, and all the other aspects of our story. I admire you and what you are doing.........Hope to someday cross paths.......

Safe travels from Upstate NY

Matt you're kicking as in the daddy blog vote. I feel a little bad for the other dads, but not enough to vote for them.

Matt,
I found your blog via the Nest nominations. I had no idea this blog existed and wish I had found it earlier. I used to work where you did, and was so saddened when I found out that Liz died. Good to see that Madeline is doing so well. Best of luck on your new adventures!!
