happy holidays from madeline.

i didn’t get my

shit together to send

out a holiday card

(that was liz’s thing),

so as we

get ready to jump

on a plane to the mn,

(round-trip flight #29 for madeline)

here’s our

virtual card:

madeline says:

i’m not too sure about this santa claus guy…

trying not to laugh as santa leans on my shoulder.

or these snow people…

scared of the snow people.

but i’m pretty excited to get back and see the grandmas, grandpas, aunites, uncles, cousins and friends in minnesota, even if it’s gonna be really cold.

happy new year.

looking forward to a great 2010.

I hope you’re here by now–big snowstorm coming to Minnesota for Christmas. I’m sure after staying here for Christmas you’ll remember why you left for California in the first place. Which brings me to my question: Why do I still live here? Oh yeah, the red hair and fair skin wouldn’t do so well in a warmer climate (at least that’s what I tell myself everytime a rough patch of weather comes through).

I’m going through a new mess of my own, and the fact that you went (and are going, and will go) through something similar makes me OK. For now.
