on behalf of the board of the llf…

Thanks to you, our wonderful supporters, 2009 was a year of tremendous growth for the Liz Logelin Foundation. In December, thanks in large part to your continued generosity, we were able to make small grants to 34 widows and widowers to help ease the financial burden of the holidays. We are looking forward to helping even more families in 2010! As you know, we recently started using Donate Now for our online donations. It is a wonderful and simple way to schedule a one-time or reoccurring donation. We hope that as you look at your charitable giving for 2010 you will consider the LLF. Just to sweeten the deal, if you make a donation between December 29th and January 31st you will receive a special limited-edition 2010 postcard from Maddy! Don’t forget: donations made by December 31st are tax deductible in 2009.

Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2010!

i found this blog about a month ago, and i just caught up, after starting at the beginning. my husband is alive and i have two boys. but i feel like i know you. i have laid awake at night fearing the worst. i dont know what i’d do without my other half and i fear what my kids would do without me. but i see what you have overcome and i feel less afraid. i admire you so much for living your life and making such a wonderful life for your daughter. thank you for sharing this with the world. i look forward to buying your book.
    keep on keepin on!!

    much love

Do you get a post card with every donation?

Made my donation tonight in honor of a friend who spends most of her free time rounding up shoes and jackets for needy children and raising money for different forms of cancer.

You are doing amazing work, Matt and friends!

    Hey Matt!

2009 has been a lot of things to myself and family. I’ve enjoyed watching you and Maddie (and Rachel!!) do the exciting things you’ve done.
You have reminded me several times this year, that I can smile and keep moving on. SO…Thank you for a year of smiles, tears (oh you are good at making me cry at my desk!!), laughter and the beautiful pictures and stories of Maddie.
    Here’s to a great 2010 :)

Great news! Is it possible for you to post some general info about the recipients? I know you did before and its nice to hear a little bit about who the money goes to.

I just wanted to thank Matt, the Liz Foundation and all the readers who donated to the foundation. My brother Jim and his daughter Sophia were one of the 34 families that Matt helped. Can’t tell you how much it meant for them to receive the help from the Foundation. Like Liz, Sophia’s mom died after child birth.

Thank you all for helping, and as I told Matt before I know Liz is proud of the work he is doing to help others. I also know she is proud of him for being such a great father and for showing Maddy the world. Keep up the good work Matt.

Happy New Year to Everyone. May 2010 be a great year for all of us.

    Hey Matt and Maddy!
The Liz Logelin Foundation just became my very first charity to donate to (monetary wise that is)!

You are doing it great job. I wish there had been someone like you guys around to help my mom when my dad passed away. Keep it up!

    Happy New Year.
