The pic of the sun coming through the trees w/the frozen branches @ the bottom is simply gorgeous (right before the 2nd dinner @ Am Legion) Love the icy pics. I was cold just looking at them and I live in Buffalo NY!!

To Jan Deibert - please give your son an extra hug for me...his music helps prevent car accidents on the way home. Sometimes, the kid is a little irritated about going home from day care and singing Gabba songs helps "change the subject". What talent!

You gotta get a warmer coat, hon. And careful when you're running around on those frozen lakes - I see a few mushy footprints.

Great photos, really wonderful - you have an amazing eye for a beautiful, striking shot.

I love that you hung out at the American Legion!

My husband and I (not senior citizens)joined both the Eagles and the Elks here in the Los Angeles, in an effort to become more connected to our community.

As someone who grew up sans grandparents, I don't know who gets more out of it -- the seniors (who love having a younger, captive audience) or me. Amazing the local history they have to share.

Plus, the $2 drinks don't hurt. ; )

Happy 2010!
