I want one, but I’m not sure that I’m the best person to give one to. I know that I can’t get through more than a few pages at a time without a tear falling. Your loss of Liz shaped my pregnancy, and in so many ways shapes who I am as a parent. I feared every hiccup, every twitch, every quickened heartbeat while still embracing life and enjoying every moment along the way. I’ve brought my son, Jack, with me to the ends of the earth – have watching him sleep on the top deck of the Eiffel Tower and dance around the minarets of the Taj Mahal – making it his playground just as Maddy did. All the while finding a connection to this woman who I will never meet, this woman who loved her little girl as much as I love my little boy, and was robbed of the one thing I have, for now, time. So yes, although I will love your book, whether received by you or purchased along the way, I accept the fact that it will go largely unread for some time because I will struggle with getting through it.

I am currently raising his (our!) children from his marriage and a beautiful daughter that we had together. I see all the love in your eyes for Maddy that I have for my children now. What you have is a beautiful, strong, amazing thing. Always remember to cherish each moment with Maddy….and thank Liz each day for the gift that you have in sharing your life with Matt and Maddy. It is never easy. It is always messy. But with the right amount of love and acceptance…all things are possible. They are lucky to have you. You are lucky to have them. Enjoy every moment of it all and make sure that Maddy grows up to know, and love, her Mommy. You are a strong woman and deserve lots of happiness, along with Matt and Maddy.

Long time reader (basically since day one) after an old friend of Deb’s told me your story. Have been following you ever since. I am now marrying the man who first told me about your story. We’re getting married in Mexico on April 9th in Tulum, Mexico (near Akumal) and have been so sad that I’ll be gone when your book comes out. Would be great to have it ahead of time so I can read it on the beach when I’m finally relaxing after the big day.
