so…
there were 1180 entries for the first book giveaway and a winner was chosen at random, via a random number generator at random.org.
comment #532 is the winner, and that comment was left by heidi b. in california. we’ve already been in contact and i’ll be shipping her book out tomorrow.
i’ve been thinking about how to conduct the rest of the giveaways, and i really don’t want to require you to have to leave another comment each week, so what i’ve decided to do is make it a cumulative thing. basically, if you’ve left a comment in a previous week, you are eligible to win any of the subsequent giveaways. but if you want to increase your chances, you can leave a comment on the latest giveaway (one per week only, please). this gives everyone a chance to win each week, and doesn’t require that you have leave a comment each week (unless you want to).
as i mentioned the first time around, the giveaway will open each friday (whenever i get the blog post up) and close each tuesday at 12:01am pacific time.
the next giveaway starts this friday, march 11th.
thanks for all the comments!
Can’t wait to read it.
so excited and happy for you… been following you since the beginning.
Ooooo. March 11 is a great day to win a book. Cailin turns 2, so I am leaving a comment and crossing my fingers.
My fingers are crossed! Your blog has made an impact on many, and I bet your book will too. Thanks for the opportunity!
So excited about this book!
Hi Matt,
I have been reading your blog since around June of 08. That was at a time when the grief of losing my father was very raw and intense. Your words have been very relative. I’ve been laughing and crying along with all the other stranger friends throughout your journey.
I THINK this is the first time I’ve commented but after three years I can’t be sure.
I have a question for you. Do you know what time you will be speaking at the Gaithersburg Book Festival in May? I am going to drive up from Richmond,VA and may come up friday night if you be speaking in the morning.
Thanks for keeping this blog so true to you!
Can’t wait for the book!
Pick me pick me!!!! Hopefully I get the golden ticket! XO
do you autograph the books? if I win…. can Maddie autograph it?
Since when #532 has been a lucky number?
Good for her… but like all other greedy people, I would still love to win too, for once in a lifetime
Great idea Matt!!! Fair enough with everyone!!!
Thanks for the second chance!!!
Do you know if and where you will be signing copies of your book next July? Because I will be on vacation and Im really thinking about making a trip to the US…
PS: have you read the “fatherĀ“s point of view” at http://www.diariodos3mosqueteiros.blogspot.com? We have some people brave enough (like you!) here in Brazil…
Kisses and blessings
