Matt and Madeline, I just read your book matt and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever read. It did make me cry some tho haha. I’m only 17 but it was still a very inspiring book to me. I look forward to reading your blog and looking at millions of photos of the famous Madeline as you raise her. I’m sure you are a great father to her. You already seem to be. Also maddy looks just like her mom in the pictures I have seen. Very beautiful. (: best of luck and wishes to you and your daughter

Hi Matt and maddy, I just picked up your book today at the airport. When I first picked it up I read what it was about and immediately put it back down. I thought to myself there is no way I can read this story. But then I picked it up again and told myself that I need to be prepared for situations like this, that I might experience as a nurse. I start my senior practicum as a nurse on Monday in the labor and delivery unit. I decided to start reading your story to try and understand a patients point of view, so thank you for sharing your story. I have to say maddy is just as beautiful as her mother. I am sure you are a amazing dad and I wish you the best of luck. I can’t imagine going through what you have.

I just saw your story on the Rachel Ray show today and wanted to let you know that you are a wonderful man and a great dad to matty. It is wonderfult to see all the support that you have. As being a new parent my self my son was born on April 14th. I am from Minnesota and live not too far from lake Calhoun. Although I did not know her. God is watching. As a chirstain, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing your story as well.

Matt, just watched the show today and I had tears streaming down my face because I am actually going through a similar situation. I really felt like contacting you in some way. I, too, lost my husband about 10 months ago, and I was left with 3 beautiful children. I felt like I lost everything, lost my life, my soulmate, my everything. My life is forever changed, and I guess I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that you are not alone, there are more young widows/widowers than you think, unfortunately, dealing with the same situation. It does get better, but it is a long journey. Surround yourself with family and friends, and they will be your biggest support. If you need a friend, I would love to talk, it helps me get through as well. You have my email! Good luck and you have a beautiful daughter!!! Melissa

hey matt, where you in amoeba in San Francisco today (wednesday July 8th)? We are traveling in Ca from Philadelphia and I couldn’t help but think about you and Maddy while I was there, I look up and there is a man with a blonde baby sleeping in a stroller. I had a glass of wine with lunch at Cha Cha Cha and figured it wasn’t you so I didn’t say anything, now I’m thinking I bet that was you and I wish I could have told you how much your story has moved me!
