[...] morbid post but I'm practical like this I've been thinking lately that I will write a letter and keep it with me in my hospital bag to be opened by my husband in case the worst happens to me. Practical stuff like here's where I keep my will/life insurance docs, here's all the people to call, here's where I keep my grandmother's watch - please make sure my sister gets it, where to donate my clothes, here are my passwords etc. I know this is horribly morbid but I can't imagine, if something did happen, how he would cope with a newborn and trying to figure out how to sort everything out. Even if he just gave the list to someone else, I just think it would be really helpful. The thing that made me want to do this was reading Matt Logelin's blog - if you have read it, you will know what I'm talking about. If you haven't read it, I highly discourage you from doing so, especially as a pregnant lady who is probably worrying about everything at this point. I will post a link to it below because I know some of you will be curious, but seriously if you are at all worried about childbirth, just leave it for now. Just wondering if anyone else is considering doing something similar? http://www.mattlogelin.com/if-you-ha...n-here-before/ [...]

Hi Maddy and Matt! I am a friend of Tom, Travis and Trevor Metz. Trevor borrowed me his copy of your book. First of all I am so sorry for your loss, and happy for your gain. Maddy looks like a doll. Second, your book was raw. I felt like I was right there with you in your grief. Your writing was real, your grief palpable and your love for Maddy is clearly unconditional. Kudos to you for sharing your story. Thinking of you and your entire family, and Liz's.
